The Shopkeeper, Mr. Sakur
He was one of the business men in the Oriental Plaza .He was dedicated to his rule that he have set for his business. He treat the entire customer the same irrespective of their status.
Mrs. Nebo, the wife of the upcoming foreign affair Minister
She was of middle height, with heavy loins and smooth skin complexion. She was rich because of her husband who were to became a minister. She did not value other people laws .She thought that she can rule everywhere because of her status.
Plot
It started when Mrs. Nebo went out to the shopping center with her friend to do some shopping at the Oriental Plaza. They bought jewellery, shoes and clothes etc. There after Mrs Nebo realize that one of the dresses that she had bought needed a silk scarf. They moved on from shop to shop looking for it. Then later they came across to the Indian shop where they found a matching scarf to her dress. She ordered for it to the shopkeeper, In the mean time counting out the coins to pay for the scarf .The afters she found out that she had no enough money to pay for it .Then she decided to write a cheque. But the shopkeeper rejected it because he had a notice written stating that “No credit. No cheque. Cash only.” And the honorable lady feels Intimidated,there she broke in an argument. She responded to it by giving off threat to the shopkeeper with her friend supporting her. Her friend, Margaret tried to convince the shopkeeper to accept the cheque, but Mr. Sakur refused totally and remained calm. Then the other shop owners came in as well when they heard the argument. They intervene by trying to convince again Mr Sakur in their own language to accept the cheque too. But Mr. Sakur stickied to his rules and he did not accept the cheque claiming to run his shop with laws and if he were to accept one cheque then he have to accept for anyone else and that ' it won't work'. As the other Indian shopkeepers heard the threat from the foreign affairs wife saying that when her husband came into power, she will make sure to evict their businesses. So they decided to buy the silk scarf and presented as a gift to Mrs. Nebo. And finally she accepted it and the problem was resolved.
